Recovered COVID-19 patients in a household are allowed to leave their homes to go about their daily lives regardless of the status of other household members, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the press conference on Tuesday.
The minister said even if a new outbreak occurs in the household, former positive patients are not required to undergo the quarantine order (QO).
“Unlike the rest of the household, the QO of a recovered patient will not reset with the additional of a new infected member,” he said, adding that the objective of the QO reset is to control the spread in the household.
