The BruHealth app is set to launch a new health promotion feature.

The update – BN on the Move (BNOTM) – will be introduced on August 14 at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.

The announcement was made by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference on Monday.

Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said the new feature aims to encourage people to be more active by doing activities such as walking or increasing the number of steps every day to prevent or control non-communicable diseases.

“At the same time,” he added, “the Ministry of Health will also launch the ‘1 Billion Steps Together Campaign’, which is a challenge to achieve one billion steps together”.

Early bird registration to join the campaign started on Monday on the BruHealth app.

The public wishing to participate will need to update their BruHealth app to the latest version (version 3.0.6).

The launch for the campaign is open to the public at 6.30am on August 14.
