The Magistrate’s Court last Saturday fixed a trial to run from March 27 to April 6, 2023 in a case involving two civil servants facing corruption charges.
Haji Muhammad Suffian bin Haji Bungsu, 50, who at the time of allegation was the director of Radio Television Brunei (RTB) , is purported to have received a luxury car from former assistant chief of news and current affairs at RTB Jonathan Kho Chew Sen. Forty-five-year-old Kho is charged with gifting the luxury car as a bribe to Haji Muhammad Suffian to secure a job promotion.
Chief Magistrate Pengiran Hajah Norismayanti binti Pengiran Haji Ismail will preside in the trial.
Defence counsels Roy Prabhakaran and Kamal Shaari of Messrs Yusof Halim and Partners are representing Haji Muhammad Suffian and Jonathan Kho.
Deputy Public Prosecutors Hajah Suriana binti Haji Radin and Nurul Fitri binti Kiprawi represented the public prosecutor in the case.
