Jerudong Park Country Club Sdn Bhd (JPCC) reached a milestone with the launch of the Little Kingdom Petting Zoo at its Adventure Park area on Monday.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, in his capacity as the Chairman of JPCC, officiated the launch.

The event opened with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a safety briefing.

It was followed by a speech from JPCC General Manager Hajah Siti Norzalena binti Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Raja Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman, who highlighted that the Little Kingdom Petting Zoo is new and unique compared to previous attractions as it brings together majestic creatures from around the world, including Africa, North and South America, as well as species from Western and Eastern hemispheres.

Not only is the Little Kingdom Petting Zoo a sanctuary for animals and a safe place for visitors, it serves to supplement early education in the form of a curated edutainment programme, designed to provide an outdoor learning experience with the aim of breaking the misconception that education is text-based and heavily dependent on spoon-fed knowledge.

The JPCC’s objective is to instigate a platform where education and entertainment meet.

The Little Kingdom Petting Zoo hopes to be the pinnacle of removing barriers between animals and humans, and showcases the true character of nature’s beauties while providing an avenue, especially for children, to enhance their cognitive development, sensory and social skills.

The JPCC invites everyone to visit their little wanderers at the Little Kingdom Petting Zoo.
