Laksamana College of Business (LCB) introduced the college’s newly established Korean CCA Club during a Korean Traditional Culture Experience event on Sunday.
Organised by the college’s Korean students in collaboration with the Student Council, the event was officiated by Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Deputy Principal Sivarajah Subramaniam with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
International Marketing Assistant of LCB and Advisor of Korean CCA Club Gloria Lee Ayoung delivered a welcoming remark followed by speeches by President of Korean CCA Club and student of LCB Jin Hayun.
Members of the Diplomatic Corps including Ambassador of France to Brunei Darussalam Bernard Regnauld-Fabre, Third Secretary of Korea to Brunei Darussalam Ahn Jae Yeon, and Counsellor of Indonesian Embassy to Brunei Darussalam Endang Mardeyani were in attendance.
Chief Executive Officer of Baiduri Bank Ti Eng Hui, Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Brunei Pengiran Aki Ismasufian bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Compliance, Corporate Governance and Legal Support of Baiduri Bank Manuel Bulens were also present.
Guests were greeted with a welcoming drink and had the opportunity to try on a Hanbok (Korean traditional attire), learn Korean traditional greetings, Korean traditional pattern marking, making Korean knotted bracelet, making dalgona (Sugar honeycomb toffee), and making bibimbap or kimbap.
Games of shuttlecock game (Jegi-chagi), Tuho, Yut, hopscotch as well as Korean movies were also showcased.
Guests were also brought to the Culinary School where students prepared a three-course Korean meal of Kimchi pancake, shikhae drink, seaweed soup, japchae, bibimbap, mochi and dalgona dessert.
A lucky draw was also held with the COO Deputy Principal drawing out raffle tickets to select three winners to bring home a Samsung Galaxy A13, Samsung Buds Live and Amazfit Bip 3 Pro.
