GCE, IGCSE exam results out (01.09.2022)

The Ministry of Education, through the Department of Examinations, released the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘A’, ‘AS’, ‘O’ Level and International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) May/June 2022 Examination results on Thursday.

 

Out of 110 candidates who sat for the BC-GCE ‘A’ Level Examination, 88 candidates (80 per cent) obtained at least one ‘A’ Level and 49 (44.55 per cent) obtained at least two ‘A’ Levels.

 

Some 10.12 per cent of candidates at the national level and 30.95 per cent at the school level obtained at least three ‘A’ Levels.

 

In the BC-GCE ‘AS’ Level examinations 1,396 (95.49 per cent) out of 1,462 candidates obtained at least one ‘AS’ Level. Some 1,233 candidates (84.34 per cent) obtained at least two ‘AS’ Levels at the national level are and with 1,228 candidates (84.40 per cent) at the school level.

 

A total of 1,075 candidates (73.53 per cent) at the national level and 1,070 candidates (73.54 per cent) at the school level obtained at least three ‘AS’ Levels.

 

Meanwhile, 1,087 candidates sat for the Brunei-Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level and IGCSE May/June 2022 session examinations, a decrease of 19.30 per cent from last year. Of these, 852 were school candidates and 235 were private candidates.

 

At the school level, 183 candidates (21.48 per cent) obtained at least four ‘O’ Level credits, 47 (5.52 per cent) obtained at least five ‘O’ Levels and three candidates (0.35 per cent) have obtained at least eight ‘O’ Level credits.
