Local youth aged 16 to 21 interested in joining the National Service Programme (PKBN) can learn more about it at the PKBN roadshow at the Mall until tomorrow from 10am to 6pm.
The 11th National Service Programme is expected to be held from November 27 to March 9, 2023.
According to Special Duties Officer Grade II at the National Service Division Pengiran Muhammad Nuur Hakiim bin Pengiran Anak Badi’Odzaman, “The benefits of participating in PKBN include training to improve competencies, to have a sense of responsibility and to be more resilient, and to instill and enhance physical, mental and emotional capabilities, while striving to enhance sense of belonging through various community works.
“The programme also provides certified basic courses such as First Aid, Lifesaver 995, and talks and activities by government and private agencies as well as NGOs.
“Participants will also learn about entrepreneurship from experts like LiveWIRE Brunei,” he said.
Registration is open from July 1 to November 12.
The registration form can also be obtained at roadshows held in schools, higher learning institutions as well as shopping centres nationwide, from PKBN website at pkbn.gov.bn or at Block 1 of the training camp of PKBN in Kampong Batu Apoi, Temburong.
