The Sultanate recorded no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment at the intensive care unit, while one case was recorded in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.
These details were shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report on Sunday.
There were no COVID-19 fatalities recorded in the past 24 hours, it added.
About 78.5 per cent of the total population has received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 10.5 per cent received the second booster shot.
For children aged five to 11, 85.4 per cent have received their second vaccine shot and for adolescents aged 12 to 17, 61.5 per cent have been administered three doses of the vaccine.
Meanwhile, some 199 COVID-19 patients recovered on Sunday, bringing the tally of recoveries to 226,151.
