The Sultanate recorded 218 recoveries bringing the total number of recoveries to 226,602 on Tuesday.
One case is in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring. Meanwhile, there are no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment at the intensive care unit.
There were no COVID-19 fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours. The updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country was shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.
The population that received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine remained at 10.5 per cent while 78.5 per cent have received three shots.
Meanwhile, for children aged five to 11, 85.5 per cent have received two doses of the vaccine, while 61.5 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.
