The Sultanate recorded six cases in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring, while there are no cases in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, some 365 COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate fully recovered on Friday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 231,984.
The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country was shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report.
On vaccinations, the fourth dose has been administered to 10.7 per cent of the population while 78.6 per cent have received three shots.
For children aged five to 11, those with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are at 86.1 per cent, while 61.6 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been administered the third dose.
