Brunei sees slight increasing trend in COVID-19 cases (24.10.2022)

The number of new COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam continued to see a slight increasing trend with an average daily rate of 437 cases per day last week as compared to 388 cases per day in the previous week.

 

The number of ART results uploaded to the BruHealth app was found to have decreased last week, where only 17,083 ART test results were reported and 17.6 per cent of them were positive results.

 

These were reported by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah as Acting Minister of Health during the weekly press conference on the COVID-19 situation in the Sultanate on Monday.

 

Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew also shared that a total of 431 new cases were reported on Monday, 427 cases of which were ART results and four from 256 RT-PCR laboratory tests that have been carried out in the past 24 hours.

 

There is one case in Category 5, requiring treatment in the intensive care unit whereas six cases in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.
