A sedan car burst into flames after crashing into a SUV vehicle at a road junction at RPN Kampong Lambak Kanan on Sunday morning. No fatalities were reported.
The driver of the sedan car sustained injuries to his back while the passenger of the SUV suffered injuries to the left shoulder. Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Emergency Unit confirmed the injuries.
Five firefighters from Lambak Kanan Fire Station, led by DSO Haji Tarip bin Haji Ghani, were dispatched to the scene of the accident after the distress call was received.
Firefighters found a sedan car engulfed in flames and the SUV on the side of the road.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in two minutes.
The cause and damages are under investigation.
In light of the incident, the Fire and Rescue Department requested the public to comply with road traffic rules and regulations. The department also called on drivers to ensure that their vehicles are in good condition and check for leakages that could lead to vehicle catching fire.
