A 58-year-old man was detained on Wednesday by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) as a primary suspect involved in the collection of 4D Lottery gambling following public-tip.
The man was arrested during a raid at Jalan Raja Sari, Seria, Kuala Belait. Authorities found the permanent resident collecting 4D gambling betting slips from lottery buyers.
The RBPF also confiscated several pieces of paper with numbers written on them believed to be used for 4D gambling.
The suspect and the evidence were brought to the Belait Police District Headquarters for investigation under Section 4 (C), Chapter 28 of the Common Gaming Houses Act.
The RBPF thanked the public for providing information.
It said the public can share information on suspicious activities through police hotline 993.
