His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, in his capacity as Chairman of Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd (BSM) Board of Directors, presented awards to BSM business partners on Monday.

The Chairman’s Awards ceremony was held at Indera Samudra Grand Hall of The Empire Brunei to acknowledge the awardees’ contributions and dedication to the industry.

BSM Managing Director Muhammad Norshafiee bin Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil said as a committed mobility partner, BSM aims to fuel the hopes, dreams and ambitions of the people and nation.

“You can count on BSM to move forward with you, innovating and evolving to serve you, our partners, better,” he said.

The last two years have been a challenging time for the nation and under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty’s Government and the public at large have worked tirelessly to persevere and join the world on the path to recovery from the pandemic – both socially and economically.

He found it encouraging to witness, in times of both crisis and opportunity, the business community in Brunei strive to prosper while playing their role in national development.

The reality of today’s business landscape is that businesses need to leverage collaboration and strategic partnerships to improve business outcomes.

“At BSM, we believe the opportunity to forge ahead for our future couldn’t be timelier.

“I invite our partners to join BSM to look beyond the current horizon and to nurture and accelerate the transition in the mobility space.”

Awards in nine categories were presented by His Royal Highness to BSM’s business partners.

Best LPG Operational Excellence was awarded to Muara Gas Company, Most Improved Retail Operational Performance to Stesen Minyak Pekan Muara Sdn Bhd and Best Retail Operational Excellence to Syarikat Stesen Minyak Perusahaan Cahaya Pakatan Tutong.

Noorazaimah binti Haji Ibrahim from Shahryza Stesen Minyak Bunut was named Best Retail Service Champion, while the Milestone Award went to TK Asco Enterprise.

Meanwhile, NBT Brunei Sdn Bhd was awarded Highest Lubricant Business Growth and Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme.

Boustead Sdn Bhd also received two awards – Best Operational Excellence and Best Marketing Campaign.

His Royal Highness also received a pesambah following the award presentation, handed by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II as well as BSM Managing Director Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.
