A 66-year-old permanent resident found possessing smuggled cigarettes was ordered to settle a BND5,000 fine by the Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Acting Senior Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid ordered Nor Azman bin Abdullah @ Tonis anak Nopet to serve five months’ jail in default of payment after he pleaded guilty to the possession of 21 packets of cigarettes.
