Legislative Council (LegCo) member, Yang Berhormat Mohammad bin Abdullah @ Lim Swee Ann called for rest areas to be provided along along the Belait, Tutong and Muara highways during Monday’s 19th LegCo session.
The LegCo member cited complaints and feedback from road users, including foreign commuters, on the lack of highway rest stops and public amenities such as toilets, convenience stores and prayer halls, and inquired on if there are any plans to build such facilities along the country’s highways.
