More children receive vaccine (07.04.2022)

The COVID-19 vaccination for those aged five to 11 continues to receive encouraging response with 761 doses administered to children in the age group on Wednesday.

 

This was revealed by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar on Thursday.

 

With the latest tally, the number of children aged five to 11, who have received the first dose of the vaccine rose to 2,664 (6.2 per cent of children in the age group).

 

Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children for the COVID-19 vaccine by booking slots through the BruHealth app. Parents are also urged to completed the authentication process for their children’s accounts in BruHealth prior to receiving the vaccine shot.

 

Meanwhile, 62 per cent of the population have been administered three doses of the vaccine.

 

Operating hours for vaccination centres during Ramadhan are 8.30am to 1pm from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday. The centres are close on Fridays, Sundays and during public holidays.
