362 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Friday, bringing the national tally of confirmed cases to 137,947

Brunei recorded 362 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the national tally of confirmed cases to 137,947. Of the new cases, 335 were from antigen rapid tests (ART) and 27 from 910 RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours.

 

The latest updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country were shared by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during the daily press conference on Friday.

 

The minister said two cases are in Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU), while two are in Category 4 requiring oxygen assistance and under close monitoring.

 

Meanwhile, 577 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 135,209.

 

“Of the 2,524 active cases, 57 are receiving treatment in hospitals, while 2,467 are undergoing home self-isolation,” Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said.

 

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin also attended.
