Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 while overseas will automatically be added to the COVID-19 index of the country they were at the time of infection, thus the recovery certificates must be obtained from that country.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said this during the daily press conference on Tuesday.

Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham added that these individuals will not be able to add their foreign-issued recovery certificates onto the BruHealth app as it is only for those who have recovered in the Sultanate, thus their recovery certified by the Ministry of Health (MoH).

“However,” the minister said, “individuals who caught COVID-19 and recovered from the virus overseas can show their recovery certificates upon arrival in the Sultanate and be granted exemption from the RT-PCR.”
