The Dental Clinic at Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Muta-Wakkilah Hayatul Bolkiah Health Centre (PAPHMHB) in Kampong Rimba, Gadong will re-open today, while the Dental Clinic of Sungai Liang Health Centre in Kuala Belait will restart its operation on April 18, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement on Tuesday.
The operation hours for both dental clinics will be from 8am to 2pm. Routine dental treatment will be provided at the dental outpatient clinic subject to screening examination at the counters, while for follow-up treatment, through appointment.
To protect staff and patients visiting the dental clinics, patients will be required to carry out antigen rapid test (ART) prior to the start of the treatment to be observed by the department’s health personnel, or required to conduct the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, if needed.
The public is urged to stay patient due to the increased waiting time caused by the enhanced safety measures.
Meanwhile, the consultation service for dental patients via telephone and short messages via WhatsApp will remain. The telephone lines for consultation service are 8117981 and 8117936, and 8117635 for WhatsApp. The services are available from Monday to Thursday and Saturday, 8am to 2pm.
The public is advised to make use of the services as alternatives to obtaining dental advice, as part of the measure to reduce interaction between the public and the department in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
