The Magistrate’s Court last week fixed October 17-19 for trial to run in the case of a local man charged with using criminal force on a police personnel.
Mohammad Amiruddin bin Mohd Jafar, 27, had earlier denied the allegation of using criminal force by pushing a policeman who was executing his duty on December 9, 2020 in an area between the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Police Post and Maya Puri building in the capital.
The charge carries a penalty of a maximum five-year jail term and a fine.
Senior Magistrate Pengiran Hazirah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Yusof extended the defendant’s bail.
Prosecutor Hajah Siti Mu’izzah binti Haji Sabli represented the public prosecutor in the case.
