Ang Chin Gui from Chung Hwa Middle School, who is among the seven government and private secondary school students who left for Japan to participate in the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) programme on Sunday, said he looks forward to forging new friendships and learn about Japanese culture.
“We serve as young ambassadors. We will share information and promote Bruneian culture with Japanese students. We will also be performing a traditional dance,” he said.
The programme, from July 25 to August 2, allows the students to gain knowledge on topics such as environmental prevention and energy, manufacturing and science technologies, medical and social welfare, and Internet and education from a global perspective and through cross-cultural skills.
