The demand for healthcare services is growing and the global health landscape is rapidly evolving. This needs to be addressed while healthcare leaders need to be strengthened to lead the charge in innovating, elevating and enhancing healthcare delivery, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar.
He said this during the inauguration of the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) Scholarship Programme in ‘Building the Future Workforce in Healthcare.’
The programme aims to support young talents pursuing nursing studies and foster the future generation of healthcare professionals to combat the nurse shortage faced nationwide. The minister who is also the Chairman of JPMC and Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre said the event symbolises JPMC’s commitment towards empowering youth and investing towards a brighter future for healthcare.
