Brunei has been experiencing slight hazy conditions since July 25. The hazy conditions are due to the smoke haze originating from transboundary haze from neighbouring countries blown in by the prevailing southwesterly winds to the Sultanate.
The Meteorological Observation Station at the Brunei International Airport recorded horizontal visibility reducing between seven to nine kilometres (km).
The country is also currently in the southwest monsoon period, where southwesterly wind is still dominant with stable atmospheric conditions.
