His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) launched the month-long UBD Convocation Festival 2023 at the Pro-Chancellor Arts Centre, UBD on Monday.
His Royal Highness was presented with various stage performances including a sketch, ‘Riuh-Riuh Konvo’, performed by the university’s Arabic Language Club and the Pendeta Bahasa Club, followed by a sajak written by UBD lecturer Mohammed Zefri bin Mohamed Zain Arif and performed by Hajib Sarhan. The stage performances ended with singing of the official UBD song written by UBD 2017 alumni Juan Madial performed by the UBD choir.
The opening ceremony also saw the presentation of a pesambah from the Student Representative Council of UBD Students’ Association (PMUBD) to His Royal Highness.
