Brunei Darussalam’s young wushu athlete Meagan Marie Keasberry secured the bronze medal in the girls’ taijijian event at the 11th Asian Junior Wushu Championships at the Tap Seac Multisport Pavilion in Macau on Friday.
The local talent has been hailed as the future of the country following a remarkable showing in the continental meet.
The 10-year-old has been working tirelessly under the guidance of the women’s wushu coach Zhao Chunjie. Indonesia’s Breena Jeffelin Susanto clinched gold while Malaysia’s Yu Xuan Ng took silver.
