An 18-year-old daycare worker is facing hefty fine and lengthy jail terms for injuring a one-year-old girl in her care.
The defendant, a local woman with her identity withheld for the child’s protection, pleaded guilty to the charge on Saturday. The charge states that she exposed the victim in a manner likely to cause physical injury.
According to Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Fitri binti Kiprawi, the defendant had caused severe injuries to the victim’s private parts while cleaning the child in the daycare’s bathroom on January 30.
