A 50-year-old Chinese national on Thursday denied charges of bribery to police officers after being stopped for alleged traffic offences.
At the Magistrates’ Court Jiang Zhi Jun pleaded not guilty to two offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to investigations by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), the defendant was driving his car to his workplace at the Southern Jetty of Pulau Muara Besar when he was stopped by two patrolling police personnel at 8.25am on September 2.
