The Magistrate’s Court yesterday fixed May 11 for trial to run after a local man denied an auto theft charge.
Ampuan Abdul Wali Al-Wali bin Ampuan Abdul Rahman, 31, denied Prosecutor Ahmad Firdaus Mohammad’s charge, alleging him of stealing a car from the parking lot of a commercial complex in Kampong Lambak on Jalan Pasir Berakas between the late night and early morning of March 7 and 8.
The charge against the defendant carries an enhanced punishment, as he is also facing a theft conviction from June 2019 in full force and effect.
Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid presided over the case.
