The intermonsoon period that began in early October will persist until the end of November where local wind effects will play a role in governing the daily weather. The tendency of fair weather prevails in the morning with isolated coastal showers around midday.
Thunderstorms are likely to develop over the inland areas during the afternoon and spread across the coastal and sea areas during the night, and may occasionally persist to early morning of the following day. This was shared by Meteorological Officer of the Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department (BDMD) Harnina binti Morani during the 21st National Weather Briefing at the Information Department’s auditorium.
Organised by the BDMD of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, 143 representatives from government and private agencies as well as the public attended the briefing.
