State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned paid tribute to two figures from Kampong Saba – Haji Saman and Liau Badar, who were said to have fought colonialists and were heroes of the Sultanate.
The state mufti was speaking at the launch of a book on Mukim Saba Purih Mukim Saba Ristaan Sejarah Kegemilangan Di Negara Brunei Darussalam at the multi-purpose hall of the Scout headquarters building in Kampong Beribi on Sunday.
The state mufti said the book describes Haji Saman and Liau Badar not only as heroes, but also contributed greatly to the Sultanate.
