The Postal Services Department (JPP) has denied claims that it has asked for personal and banking information from customers for any of its existing services after a complaint was made on October 19.
In response to the complaint, which alleged that an SMS containing a notice that a package was not delivered because of an incomplete address and included a link to verify the recipient’s address, the department said it was not sent by them to any customer on their services.
The department advised the public to not share personal or financial information with unknown parties and to check for its validity before clicking links received via SMS, WhatsApp or any other messaging and social media platforms.
