Intellectual property (IP) rights are the backbone of progress and innovation, bestowing upon creators the exclusive rights to create, market, or disseminate their works, providing the impetus to reap the rewards of their efforts, and affording them the means to advance even more inventive and creative pursuits.
Attorney General Dato Seri Paduka Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa said this at the World Intellectual Property Day (WIPD) 2023 event at the Songket Ballroom of The Rizqun International Hotel on Thursday.
The attorney general, who is also the Registrar of Trademarks, Patents and Industrial Designs, officiated the event.
