A 23-year-old housekeeping staffer at a hotel in Gadong was sentenced to six months’ jail after pleading guilty to misappropriating a guest’s property.
Magistrate Syaffina binti Shahif heard from prosecutor Abdul Musawwir bin Haji Awang Mahli that Indonesian national Syaiful Bahri was cleaning a room after the guest checked out on September 25 when he came across a mobile phone, which he decided to pocket.
