Some 504 individuals officially became Brunei Darussalam citizens on Thursday following the 39th citizenship certificate presentation ceremony at the Bridex Conference Hall in Jerudong.
Several recipients shared their excitement and appreciation for the citizenship.
Businessman Haji Mohd Fadillah bin Haji Abdul Wahab received the certificate on behalf of his daughter Nur Syasya Farah Dayana. He said, “I am thankful and blessed that my 15-year-old daughter is officially a Brunei citizen. I want to thank His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the government for this gift to my daughter who just celebrated her birthday, on November 5.”
