A business entity was fined BND700 for operating several multi-frequency band walkie-talkies without a valid licence, said the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) on Friday.
The agency said they issued a warning to the business owner infringing Section 9 of the Telecommunications Order 2001, where the multi-frequency band walkie-talkies being used are not type-approved to be operated in the Sultanate.
The agency said such offences are punishable under Section 35(1) of the Telecommunication Order, 2001.
