A 36-year-old local man was fined BND1,500 by the Magistrate’s Court on Monday after he pleaded guilty to a charge of being a nuisance to the public in a state of intoxication.
Adi Farid Riswandi bin Idris was ordered by Magistrate Nur Eleana binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Hairol Arni to serve six months’ jail in default of payment of the fine.
Prosecutor Nurulatikah binti Haji Husaini revealed in court that the defendant had caused annoyance to vendors and customers at a business premise at the Gadong Night Market at 11pm on November 11.
