Dental clinics at Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital, Tutong and Berakas Health Centre, Lambak Kanan resumed operations on Monday, while the dental clinic at Seria Health Centre will re-open tomorrow.
The resumption of dental services in several health clinics was announced by the Department of Dental Services, Ministry of Health on Monday.
Emergency and routine dental treatment will be provided at outpatient clinics subject to screening examination at the counters of the location, while follow-up treatment is on appointment basis.
The dental clinics at Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hospital, Berakas Health Centre and Seria Health Centre are open from Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 7.45am to 12.15pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
As part of the preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19 and to protect visitors and health workers in dental clinics, patients need to take antigen rapid test (ART) before their treatment, supervised by health workers.
PCR swab test will only be carried out for special cases.
The public is advised to exercise patience because the waiting hour is expected to be longer due to the COVID-19 screening time.
Meanwhile, the consultation service for dental patients through telephone and short message via WhatsApp are available. The public can contact 8117981 or 8117936, or text through Whatsapp at 8117635.
The operation hours for the consultation services are Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8am to noon and 1.45pm to 4pm.
The public is advised to use the service as an alternative method of obtaining dental advice to avoid unnecessary visits as a measure to reduce interaction between the public and staff to curb the spread of COVID-19. For information contact Darussalam line 123.
