A fleet of 30 new ambulances was incorporated into the nation’s emergency services to meet an increasing demand following a launching ceremony on Thursday.
Over the past five years, emergency calls have increased by an average of 10 per cent a year, said Acting Head of Emergency Medical Ambulance Services Noor Hazmah binti Rosli.
She said paramedics and dedicated ambulance staff have answered over 73,000 emergency calls over the past few years.
