Five Bruneian students left for a week-long study trip to Japan to explore its culture and meet Japanese students while promoting the Sultanate.
Selina Khoo Shee Ping, Elza Batrisyia binti Zainolhizad, Nur Rahmah binti Haji Awang Zulkifli, Nurul Hasyimah binti Haji Metussin from Universiti Teknologi Brunei and Afifatul Husna binti Ismail from Universiti Brunei Darussalam left the Sultanate on Saturday.
Selina Khoo, in an interview, said, “I want to join the programme as I wish to learn more about the Japanese culture as I am interested in anime. I feel that visiting Japan as a tourist and as a student are two different things. As a student, you can have a deeper understanding of a foreign culture.”
