Daily cases remain under 300 (10.05.2022)

Brunei Darussalam’s daily new COVID-19 cases remained below 300 with 265 infections detected on Tuesday. Of the new cases, 260 were detected from antigen rapid test (ART) screenings and five from 355 RT-PCR laboratory tests. This brings the national tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 143,372. No COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the past 24 hours.

 

This was revealed by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference on Tuesday.

 

The minister disclosed that 125 cases were declared recovered on Tuesday, bringing the number of recoveries to 141,961.

 

The total number of active cases is at 1,192 where 26 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals and 1,166 undergoing home self-isolation.

 

Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said there are no cases in Category 5 needing intensive care treatment while one patient in Category 4 requires respiratory assistance.
