A 50-year-old man involved in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday has died, reported the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
According to the RBPF, one vehicle heading from Jalan Katok to Jalan Telanai allegedly ran a red light and collided into another vehicle travelling from Jalan Beribi to Jalan Jangsak at 2pm on Saturday.
RBPF said the initial investigation found that the driver was transporting the 50-year-old man, suffering from an asthma attack and having serious difficulty breathing, to Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
The investigation also revealed that the man was rushed to RIPAS Hospital after the accident, where he was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) before being pronounced dead by a doctor.
The RBPF is investigating the cause of death and the accident.
Police also urge the public to be patient and vigilant while driving, and to not disregard the safety of other road users.
