There may be power interruptions in some areas of the country due to scheduled turnaround activities in the upstream oil and gas sector, said the Department of Electrical Services (DES) and Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, the activities will be carried out by BSP from May 3 until July 1.
It added that the activities may impact gas supply to the Tungku Gas Plant, which supplies gas to power stations owned by DES and the Berakas Power Company Sdn Bhd.
“Although the likelihood is low, these activities might cause power interruptions in certain areas across the country especially on May 3 to May 5.
