His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam yesterday arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to attend the coronation ceremony of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia today at the Istana Negara.
Accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam; Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah; Her Royal Highness Princess ‘Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah; and Her Royal Highness Princess Ameerah Wardatul Bolkiah.
Upon arrival at the Subang Air Base, Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses, were welcomed by Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Idris Iskandar Ismail Abdul Rahman, the Tunku Temenggong of Johor; Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Abdul Rahman Hassanal Jeffri, the Tunku Panglima of Johor; Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Abu Bakar Mahmood Iskandar Ibrahim, the Tunku Putera of Johor; Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Dato’ Dennis Muhammad Abdullah; as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan.
Also present were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah and spouse; Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof and spouse; Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos; and High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin @ Haji Md Saidin and spouse.
Prior to leaving Istana Nurul Iman, a Doa Selamat was recited by State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned.
Present at His Majesty the Sultan’s Flight Hangar in Kampong Rimba to bid farewell to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman; as well as members of the royal family.
Also present were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-Pengiran Cheteria; Cabinet ministers; members of the Privy Council; deputy ministers; the commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force; the commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; and Chargé d’affaires of the High Commission of Malaysia in Brunei Darussalam.
His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, presented the Instrument of Invitation (Warkah Persilaan) on June 25 to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Istana Nurul Iman to attend the coronation ceremony of His Majesty the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, held today in a formal setting, rich in royal Malay customs and traditions.
