His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, received in audience ASEAN Secretary-General Dr Kao Kim Hourn, who is on a two-day working visit to the Sultanate at Qashr Al-Meezaan yesterday.
During the ceremony, His Royal Highness and the secretary-general touched on ASEAN’s community building efforts, including initiatives by the Sultanate covering matters pertaining to sports, climate change, youth exchange and civil service matters.
The two sides further discussed the 40th anniversary of the Sultanate’s membership in ASEAN.
His Royal Highness also met with outgoing Kuwait Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Salah Mubarak Musleh Al-Mutairi at Qashr Al-Meezaan yesterday.
The ambassador presented his letter of credence to His Majesty on February 4, 2019.
