His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office visited Singapore’s Centre of Excellence for Soldier Performance (CESP) yesterday morning. His Royal Highness was greeted at the Pasir Laba Camp by Singapore Senior Minister of State for Defence Heng Chee How and Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng.
His Royal Highness received the salute and then inspected the guard of honour, accompanied by the Chief of the Welcome Guard Parade.
His Royal Highness later joined a group photo and proceeded to the Leader’s Hall where His Royal Highness signed the visitor’s book.
His Royal Highness watched a presentation on the centre by Head of CESP Senior Lieutenant Colonel Russell Gan. The presentation included CESP procedures to enhance military performance by utilising science and technology to improve fitness, nutrition, prevent injuries; strengthen soldier resilience and the development of military systems and equipment to achieve optimal performance.
His Royal Highness then viewed a static display which included Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) personal equipment; rehabilitation equipment; remote core temperature monitoring and heart rate live monitoring system and designing fitness programmes.
His Royal Highness concluded the visit with an exchange of gifts.
CESP has achieved significant milestones since its establishment including in fitness and nutrition; pre-habilitation and rehabilitation; resilience and soldier systems.
