Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) urged the public to be vigilant against website scams impersonating the Malaysian Immigration Department’s Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC).

Recent reports indicate individuals are being redirected to a fake website masquerading as MDAC’s official platform.

These fraudulent websites may appear legitimate at first glance, mimicking the design and layout of genuine government websites.

However, their intent is to steal personal information, such as login credentials, passport details and even request payments (up to USD80) for seemingly required services like arrival cards.

Obtaining the arrival card is typically free of charge and requires no payment.

Additionally, the only official Malaysian government website for MDAC is https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main.
