A total of 27 Primary 6 students from Keriam Religious School were honoured for completing the recitation of 30 Juzuk of Al-Quran during a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the school’s Galaksi Hall yesterday.

The event, celebrating 11 boys and 16 girls, aimed at recognising the students’ achievement while supporting the nation’s aspiration to nurture an Al-Quran-literate generation.

The ceremony began the ceremony with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah.

It proceeded with the students’ recitation of selected verses of Al-Quran, followed by the Doa Khatam led by Muhammad Khairul Izzan bin Kamarul Ihsham.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, the guest of honour, presented certificates of appreciation to the participants, accompanied by a Dikir performance.

The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat recited by Haji Saiful Rizal bin Haji Sabtu. – Fadley Faisal
