The Royal Customs and Excise Department (RCED) recently detained three individuals under Section 146 (1) Excise Order 2006 for the possession of contraband cigarettes during a joint roadblock in the Belait District.
Thirty-seven offences were also recorded involving violations under Chapter 68 of the Road Traffic Act during a joint roadblock in the Belait District.
The joint roadblock involved police personnel from Kuala Belait Police Station, Panaga Police Station as well as Traffic Control and Investigation Department with enforcement personnel from RCED.
Meanwhile in Temburong District, Bangar Police Station police personnel conducted two roadblocks on May 21 and 26. Two compound offences were detected including driving without Class 5 Licence and illegal modification under Chapter 68 of the Road Traffic Act chapter 68.
