A total of 58 personnel from the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) and its departments were awarded the Long Service Medal (PKL) yesterday afternoon.

The state decoration ceremony, held at the Setia Pahlawan Hall of the MPRT building, was in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 79th birthday celebration.

Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin presented the medals to the recipients. The awards serve as an official recognition and appreciation of the ministry personnel’s dedicated service and contributions throughout their careers.

They are also intended to inspire continuous performance improvement and excellence in executing entrusted duties.

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officials, and staff members of the ministry and its sub-departments were also in attendance. – Lyna Mohamad
